Over 40 years ago American companies started exporting manufacturing jobs overseas, and 10 years ago American companies started exporting service jobs. With the current economic downturn in our country, millions have lost jobs and haven't any place to turn because of the exporting of jobs.
Therefore, America must began the process of returning to a manufacturing based economy, as we return to a manufacturing based economy the demand for service jobs will return. This process will create the largest economic stimulus package, without having to spend a dime of taxpayer money. American companies should step up and take on this process of returning their manufacturing operations to the United States. Companies that have based global sourcing operations in other countries, need to be a part of this process.
